The Beatles formed their musical journey in the early 1960’s with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr and they began their recording career with George Martin, a producer at EMI Records who had never worked with a rock band.  He turned around and produced one of the most legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll bands in history.

With the Beatles. 1963 EMI Records

With albums such as With the Beatles, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band among many others, the Fab Four made their way onto home stereos all over the world and their innovative music and moving lyrics are well remembered today, 50 years later.

Sir George Martin, CBE, was born January 3rd, 1926, and worked as a producer for EMI Records and mostly worked with classical music.  He even attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying piano and oboe.  When he signed the Beatles to a record contract with EMI in 1962, it was a step into a new direction for him–a step that would change his life forever.

Often referred to as “The Fifth Beatle” Martin won multiple Grammy awards and won an Academy Award for “Best Score” with “A Hard Day’s Night”.

You can remember the Beatles and Sir George Martin by choosing one of our puzzles celebrating their music!

Sgt. Pepper and Beatles Yellow

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released in June of 1967 and is widely considered to be not only one of the best albums in the Beatles’ discography, but one of the must-have albums to have in one’s music library.  With songs such as “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”, “When I’m Sixty-Four”, and “A Day in the Life”, Sgt. Pepper is a display of everything the Beatles were capable of and they held nothing back in its production.  This puzzle is a double-sided image that has, on one side, the album cover itself, which is one of the most highly recognizable images with its bright colors and slue of familiar celebrity faces behind John, Paul, George, and Ringo, dressed in brightly colored band outfits.  On the other side of the puzzle is the center-fold image from the album itself of the four Beatles again in their band uniforms.  Whatever side you wish to display, this is a great puzzle celebrating the Beatles ingenuity.
