Summer’s Just Around the Corner: Beach Puzzles

Yesterday I visited the beach for the first time this year. For Oregon, the weather was quite good—sunny and savagely windy. I came home with sand in my socks, sea salt sprayed all over my pants, and a belly full of clam chowder and raw oysters. We collected sea shells to make sea shell mason jars and I found my first-ever in-tact sand dollar! All in all, it was a lovely day and it inspired me to share some of our equally lovely seaside puzzles since summer’s just around the corner and beach days are going to be much more common for those of us flanking the coasts!

I’ve recently done these 2 – fun shaped pieces and bigger with the lower piece count and both were fun and not too hard – took a few hours seems like and I enjoyed the cuteness.
Love that Lang puzzle – just ordered a couple of theirs to try. I usually go more for garden and mountain/cabin/woods themes in scenic puzzles but sometimes a beach/ocean puzzle catches my eye – I came sooo close to ordering this one but was afraid it would be too challenging but it’s soooo gorgeous still want it but know it would never get done being 1500 pieces and basically 2 colors! still can dream 🙂 might have to see if I can just find the print LOL! I’m also a sucker for this artist andt his one is on my wishlist for one fo these days

We also love the Jane Wooster Scott puzzles, they’re so much fun to do! We believe in you, too—-your love for puzzles means that someday you’ll be able to do that Le Mont Saint Michel puzzle like it’s a breeze! 🙂

LOL not sure 1500 pieces will work – I have a couple of 1500 piece puzzles (quilt themed so HAD to get them!) but the pieces are smaller than I like bu at least they have sections and not a lot of the same 2 colors! 🙂

I guess they have a lotta love then! sigh..they probably call me ‘that puzzle hoarder’ and think I must sit home all day doing puzzles LOL! wish I could but a LOT are still on the shelf – the smaller piece counts get done the most but I fell in love with a bunch of 1000 piece ones – hoo boy gonna be doing puzzles for a while! wish they’d give me a call and say ‘hey you really wanna order this puzzle AGAIN?!” sigh.yes I’ve ordered duplicates that’s how bad I am! but they make great gifts and I will probably at some point find a place that can use them or send them to your donation department.
